Baguanfa Cupping Massage
Sometimes areas of tension or injury are simply too tense or tender to treat with certain therapeutic methods such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy or cross-fiber friction. Massage cupping is a gentle, non-invasive way to soften broad areas of tension so that more specific massage techniques can be comfortably applied. By creating suction and negative pressure, Massage Cupping Therapy is used to soften tight muscles, loosen adhesions, and separate layers of connective tissue to bring hydration and blood flow to body tissues. Massage cupping bodywork is versatile and can easily be modified to accomplish a range of techniques, from facilitation of lymphatic drainage to deep-tissue myofacial release. Massage Cupping is very relaxing, effective, and a time honored technique dating back thousands of years.

Start by relaxing with a warm aromatherapy foot bath and neck pack. One of our talented Massage Practitioners will then knead away all your stresses with a full body aromatic massage. Tension Tamer Massage
Treatment is focused on shoulders, neck, scalp and face with lavender and peppermint oils, or eucalyptus and peppermint oils. Pressure points are utilized for relief of stress and tension headaches.
What to expect on your first visit
Please arrive 5 – 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to fill out the necessary paperwork. Your Licensed Massage Practitioner will discuss your health history with you in and what you would like to focus on for your first massage.
Once your practitioner knows what areas you would like to focus on, and any areas you would like to avoid, he / she will leave the room so that you may disrobe and get comfortable. Most people feel comfortable disrobing completely or leaving their underwear on, please remove your bra and any jewelry such as necklaces or bracelets.
If you feel any discomfort during your massage let your practitioner know where you feel the discomfort and what level of discomfort you are feeling.
Relax, close your eyes and allow your mind and body to be quiet. Breath deeply and let the tension slip away with each breath. Remember this time is for you!
What is Deep Massage?
Everyone’s definition of ‘deep’ varies. Our superb staff is multi-talented and devoted to giving you a massage that will satisfy your needs. Receiving a deep therapeutic massage should not be painful. Please communicate with your practitioner if the massage is too deep or not deep enough.
After Your Massage
Once the massage session is complete, your practitioner will leave the room so you can get dressed. They will then discuss the results of the massage and decide on a massage plan that will work for you.
After massage many people are deeply relaxed, feel less pain and stress, and notice improved range of motion. There is also a good chance that you will sleep well that night. You will be thirsty because your body needs more water to facilitate the ongoing benefits of the massage, so please drink plenty of water and take it easy for the rest of the day. Heavy workouts are not recommended immediately post-massage. You may experience mild soreness the next day. This is normal – it is your body’s reaction to releasing muscle spasms and tension.
